A fun family event. Each team has a 10′ x 10′ quadrant to build on and only natural non-living materials found on the beach can be used in your sculpture. Criteria for judging the entries include: Originality, difficulty, execution, use of space and the wow factor. Registration is $10 and will be set up on the south end of the sea walk by the bathrooms. Don’t forget to bring your hat and sunscreen.
Schedule of events:
10am – 11am – Registration – $10 per family or group – Three Categories – Children, Family, Group
11am – 2pm – Building sand sculptures
2pm – 2:30pm – Judging
2:30pm – Awarding of prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in each category plus one prize for the people’s choice.
