Join Us for the Annual Sandcastle Competition – July 27, 2025!
Get ready for a day of creativity and family fun at our annual Sandcastle Competition! Join us on Sunday, July 27, 2025, at the sand spit on the south end of Davis Bay (near the bathrooms).
Whether you’re building a masterpiece or just enjoying the spectacle, this event is perfect for all ages. Each team will have a 10’ x 10’ section of sand to craft their creation using only natural, non-living materials found on the beach.
Don’t miss out on this beloved community tradition—see you in the sand!
The criteria for judging the entries include:
- originality,
- difficulty,
- execution,
- use of space, and
- the wow factor.
Registration is $10. The registration table is set up on the south end of the sea walk, by the bathrooms.
Don’t forget to bring your hat and sunscreen!
Schedule of events:
11:30am – 12:30pm: Registration
$10 per family or group
Three Categories: Children, Family, Group
12:30pm – 3:30pm: Building
3:30pm – 4pm: Judging
4pm: Awarding of Prizes
There are prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in each category plus one prize for the people’s choice.
